CONTEMPORARY ARTIST – ALDO ACOSTA SCHOLZ
CONTEMPORARY ARTIST · MYSTICAL ARTIST
“Art is the ability to immerse oneself in the inner silence and project the glimpses into the manifested world.”
– Aldo Acosta Scholz
Aldo Acosta Scholz is a contemporary artist with more than twenty-five years devoted to painting, drawing and sculpture — a body of work built on two pillars rarely found together: refined technique and profound meaning.
A Language of Refined Technique
A visual artist is judged by what survives the first glance. His formal training began in 2004 in the painting and sculpture workshops of the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) and continued at the Escuela Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Drawing. Before the studio came another discipline: Acosta Scholz graduated as a lawyer from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) — a formation that gave his mystical work its unusual analytical rigor.
A Mystical Artist — Kabbalah, Raja Yoga, Teosophy and Sacred Geometry
What distinguishes him as a mystical artist is the study behind the image. A Raja Yoga master and a longtime student of Kabbalah and sacred geometry, he paints from contemplation, not from trend: every canvas begins in the inner silence his own words describe — and returns from it carrying form. The visible, in his work, is a veil; the painting is the path through it.
One Vision, Six Chambers
Tree of Life — the root of the entire body of work: the wisdom of Kabbalah and the Sefer Yetzirah rendered visible, where the symbol does not represent — it creates.
Tifferet — glimpses received in meditation, painted to expand the consciousness of the viewer; the record of a Raja Yoga master working with brush instead of breath.
Transiting in Matter — the human condition in the manifested world, executed alla prima with a refined command of mixed techniques.
Selfie Clon Dolly — a beautiful irony: the viral conditioning of the human mind, cloning attitudes and ways of seeing through the information it absorbs every second.
Human Too Human — man without a compass, driven in circles by desire, held in the invisible prison of Maya.
Sculpting on Time — a tribute to the masterpieces engraved on the artist’s retina, after Tarkovsky’s book that gives the series its name.
