BINDU | ORIGINAL ARTWORK FOR SALE
Description:
Bindu is a work by Aldo Acosta Scholz that represents the primordial point of existence, where the unmanifest becomes manifest. Inspired by the philosophy of the Upanishads and Tantric thought, the painting centers on a black circle —the bindu, or cosmic seed— from which clouds of color emerge, evoking the creative energy of Māyā.
The dark circle at the center is not emptiness, but fullness contained: Parabrahman, the supreme unity, the eternal essence that transcends all limitation. Surrounding it, the vibrant clouds of color act as a visual metaphor for the creative energy that unfolds the physical reality. In the contrast between the stillness of the central point and the chromatic vibration surrounding it, the piece expresses the paradox between unity and multiplicity, between the eternal and unchanging, and the ever-shifting sensory universe.
More than a painting, Bindu functions as a contemporary mandala —a spiritual map that guides the gaze toward the center, bringing the viewer back to the source of all existence. Each piece in this limited edition is hand-finished by the artist, transforming it into a unique work that combines technique, symbolism, and contemplation.
